"I will grade these manually. The short answer questions are a nightmare, as they have to be in the correct order (thus the need for manual grading). So don't worry if you don't have it right according to the auto-grading. It has to be word for word, capital for capital, the order it wants, etc., so basically the auto-grading for short answer is worthless. Sorry for the hassle...again! you have the correct answers; They just won't be marked correct until I grade them manually. "
Hope this is helpful. This way you won't get discouraged or frustrated after taking the test multiple times.

Thanks for the heads up. I hate getting frustrated. Now at least I will understand what is going on.
ReplyDeletethanks for the heads up! I took it twice and I still can't get them all right. I even copied and pasted the 5 steps and it came up wrong.
ReplyDeleteThanks Stephanie! I knew I should've checked here first. I sent Shippen an email too. Then came to the blog. This blog rocks! It was very frustrating. I even entered just the rest of the letters for the acronym, thinking that maybe I wasn't suppose to spell it out completely. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting it right away.
Thanks so much Stephanie!I took the study guide test today and failed, yet I know I answered them correctly. So glad you posted this!
ReplyDeleteWhat about the Ponder Your Progress SQ3R anything tricky there? I haven't tried it yet...
-Jeanne
I think the ponder your progress is in a weird order. Just make sure you read through the whole thing before you start. Personally I did it in a different order. For example the first question seems like it should be the last question. This is the order I did them after reading through it. 2, 4, 3, 9, 6, 8, 1, 7, 10, 5.
ReplyDeleteTHank you so much, I jsut sent it in and was very frustrated so I thought I would check out here and see if anyone else had problems. Also what do we do about the participation part do we mark it as if we did go to class and evaluated the teacher? do you know?
ReplyDeleteSister shippen said not to do the lead student survey. On the participation survey I left that question blank. She is going to grade a couple of these things manually.
